About the Awards
The Greater Peterborough Chamber Of Commerce and the Small Business Week Committee established the Peterborough Business Excellence Awards in order to promote the advancement of responsible business leadership and prosperity within the community.
It is our goal that many noteworthy and accomplished companies will be recognized and honoured with these prestigious awards.
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION
* For more information on the benefits of participation, see our Testimonials page.
As a Nominator
Submitting a nomination is a great way to recognize your favourite local business. You only need to provide 100 words about why the business deserves to be nominated in the appropriate category. We will pass your submission along to the nominated company, so that they can share and celebrate the acknowledgement with their team. They will then have the opportunity to complete the nomination form and potentially be recognized as a finalist!
As a Nominee or Self-Nominee
No one knows your business better than you, and this is your opportunity to share your success story and shine a spotlight on your business. Submitting a self-nomination or completing a nomination submitted by a third party is a great way to celebrate the achievements of your business and your team. Your company could be recognized as one of three finalists in your category, and be profiled in our multi-media promotional campaign!
As a Finalist
If selected as a finalist, your company will gain recognition as a top achiever and will join leading companies in Peterborough, as an outstanding member of this community. You will also enjoy:
- A special profile in the Peterborough Examiner

- Social media promotion
- A commemorative plaque to display and "Excellence Finalist" logo to post on your website, promotional materials, etc.
- Recognition at the annual Business Excellence Awards Ceremony, attended by 500 of Peterborough's business leaders
